National PTA’s Reflection Program

Student Arts Competition

National PTA’s Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.

Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

Lindamood-Bell believes, passionately, that all children and adults can be taught to read, comprehend, spell, and do math to their potential.

This program identifies strengths and weaknesses that may be affecting school performance. The instruction is based on an individual’s learning needs.

Some students come with previous diagnoses such as dyslexia, autism spectrum disorders, or general learning challenges—and the program makes a difference for each of them.

Some students seek their help to enhance their skills or to just make learning easier.

Coronavirus is posing unprecedented challenges to public schools around the country. To help ensure the continuity of special education services during remote instruction and to spotlight best practice approaches for schools and educators, an alliance of national education organizations has come together to ensure equity for all learners.
